Qualifying Window and Entry Details
Qualifying Period
The qualifying window for the 2024 Boston Marathon is from September 1, 2022, through the conclusion of the registration period on September 15, 2023, at 5:00 PM ET.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry, runners must have achieved a qualifying time in one of the following races:
- 2023 Boston Marathon (2023 qualifying times)
- 2022 Boston Marathon (2022 qualifying times)
- A USATF-certified marathon or half marathon between September 1, 2022, and September 15, 2023
Qualifying times vary based on age and gender and can be found on the Boston Marathon website.
Registration Process
Registration for the 2024 Boston Marathon will be available exclusively through the B.A.A. Registration System. Runners who meet the qualifying requirements can register online at https://www.baa.org/races/boston-marathon during the open registration period.
Important Dates
- September 1, 2022: Qualifying window opens
- September 15, 2023: Qualifying window closes
- September 15, 2023: Registration opens at 10:00 AM ET
- April 15, 2024: 128th Boston Marathon
